Application for Transfer of Ownership

You DO NOT need to be a NZAHS member to own or transfer ownership of a Purebred or Derivative/Anglo-Arabian Horse
Complete & sign the Transfer Form and send to the NZAHS Office with original Registration Certificate & transfer fee

Application for Lease

You DO NOT need to be a NZAHS member to Lease or Lease Out a Purebred or Derivative/Anglo-Arabian Horse unless breeding
Complete & sign the Lease Form and send with payment to the NZAHS Office

Application for Replacement Registration Certificate

In genuine cases of loss of the original registration certificate a replacement can be issued to the registered owner

Complete & sign the Replacement Certificate Form and send with payment to the NZAHS Office

Application to Import a Horse

The NZAHS Office will contact the importer on receipt of documentation from an overseas WAHO registry country for any
Purebred or Derivative/Anglo-Arabian Horse that is eligible to be registered in New Zealand. The horse’s identity must be verified by a NZ vet and a fresh DNA sample supplied. Horses must be registered in New Zealand before being bred or competed.

Application to Export a Horse

The owner of the Purebred or Derivative/Anglo-Arabian Horse should contact the NZAHS Office BEFORE the horse leaves NZ for specific individual horse instructions. All exported horses must be DNA typed prior to export. The NZAHS Office will send export documentation directly to the WAHO registry country who will contact the new owner with their import instructions.

Application for Membership

Apply for Associate membership to register a Derivative/Anglo-Arabian Horse OR
apply for Full or Junior Full membership to register a Purebred Horse

Application for Stud Name | Prefix or Suffix | Brand

Use of a Stud Name and/or Prefix/Suffix and/or Brand are optional
If used, they must be registered with the NZAHS for exclusive use by that breeder and/or family

Annual Purebred Mare Return

All Full members are required to file an Annual Mare Return by 1st April each year for ALL Mares (over 2 years of age) 
owned/leased, even if they have not been bred during the season

Annual Purebred Stallion Return

All Full members are required to file an Annual Stallion Return by 1st April each year for ALL Stallions (over 2 years of age) 
owned/leased, even if they have not been bred during the season

Application for Purebred Stallion Nomination

All Purebred Stallions are required to be "Stallion Nominated" each season in order to be used at "Public Stud" OR for "Private Use"

Application for Artificial Insemination Permit

​Purebred Mares to be bred with Imported Semen must have an Artificial Insemination Permit issued prior to being inseminated

Application for Embryo or Ovum Transfer Permit

Members who wish to breed a Purebred Arabian foal in this manner must have an Embryo or Ovum Transfer Permit

issued prior to the transfer taking place

Application for Semen Import Permit

Members who wish to Import Purebred Stallion Semen from an overseas WAHO registry country
must apply for an Imported Semen Permit prior to use in NZ

Application for Semen Export Permit

Members who wish to Export Purebred Stallion Semen to another WAHO registry country
must apply for an Exported Semen Permit prior to shipment of the semen
