Young Achiever Award

NZAHBS YOUNG ACHIEVER AWARD CRITERIA

Purpose

The purpose of the NZAHBS Young Achiever Award is to recognise high levels of achievement by young members of our Arabian community. These young people can be participating in endurance events, show jumping, cross country or pony club. They may assist at a horse stud, but their horse of choice is a purebred or derivative Arabian horse. Young people are the future forward for the NZAHBS and in honouring our Young Achievers, we are setting the cornerstones in place for their ongoing involvement with the Arabian Horse.

Criteria

The applicant must

· * Not have attained their 18 th birthday by closure date (30 th December in any year)

· * Have achieved recognisable success with their registered with NZAHBS purebred or derivative arabian horse within New Zealand. It must also compete under it's NZAHBS registered name.

· * Applicants may also have been selected to represent New Zealand offshore e.g. Endurance

· * Fully complete the entry form and attach a 2000 word article on a subject of choice relevant to the Arabian horse.

Judging

Applications will be considered by Council at the January meeting and the award(s) will be announced each year at the corresponding Annual General Meeting.
